Finally getting out of Scotland, we hopped onto the train and headed down to our old British stomping round, London.

Wrapping up the final day in Scotland with a trip to Calton Hill.
For the last full day in Scotland, we wanted to go to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh so Michelle could be more inspired for our own garden that she’s been expanding at our place. Fortunately the weather continued to be on our side and gave us blue (frosty) skies for the whole day, so we also went up to Calton Hill.
First full day within Edinburgh. Many places were still closed as it was January 1st, but fortunately a Mexican restaurant and the National Museum of Scotland managed to be open so we spent most of our time sticking to the inner city.
Starting the year off with a new experience, out in cold old Scotland. Amazingly, it was also a (mostly) dry experience and while we were secretly hoping for snow, it was probably for the best that we didn’t since we were moving around a LOT. The trip covered the Scottish Highlands, Edinburgh, London, and ending at Dublin. Here are the pics from the first day as we drove up to Loch Ness.
So now that I've wrapped up the general travel pics, I gotta of course mention all of the amazing cars and bikes I encountered while in Japan. I didn't spot anything too exotic, but for such a metropolitan city that frankly doesn't require any sort of personal transportation to get around, there's an amazing amount of interesting rides. So, that said, here we go!
Subaru, please! If you're not going to give us a hatchback Impreza WRX, then for the love of God, please bring over the Levorg! Honestly I'd prefer the Levorg, and if I were going to push myself for a new car, this would be the one car that I'd immediately jump for.
Why yes that's a Lancer Evolution IX Wagon with an older diesel G-Wagon in the background. That's Tokyo for ya.
Finally at the end of the Japan posts, at least the ones focusing on the trip itself.
I've been eager to go to Japan for years and despite the amount of excitement I had when the opportunity finally arrived, the experience still managed to live up to the hype.
Can't wait to go back as soon as possible!
